CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE- TWO FACED- REVIEW

TWO FACED'S CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE(REVIEW)

I've decided to do another review as i have spare time on my hands and my mid year exams are done. so recently, i decided to go to Mecca Maxima and buy something which i have been interested in for a few months, which is Two Faced's Chocolate Bar eye palette, as i needed a proper set or bar of good quality eyeshadows.

PRESENTATION
The packaging of the product is adorable and it isn't to bulky or wide, which does make it easier i guess to slip into your handbag or for travel. I think it really does look like a chocolate bar is inside, that classic candy bar packaging. It shows all the shades on the back.
The container itself is in the shape of a chocolate bar and it makes me want to eat it haha. I remember he first time i opened it, depending if you like makeup smells, but the lid brought open a smell of chocolate and cream. It has a nice size mirror inside and it comes with a plastic cover over the shades with their names, i leave it on to protect them from flaking

EYESHADOWS
Comes in 16 different colours. what i like is that some are matte and some have shimmer and they have similar colours in both. The names of each colours resemble deserts: (top left corner- to bottom right corner)

Gilded Ganache 1.- shimmer
White Chocolate 2.- matte
Milk Chocolate 3.- matte
Black Forest Truffle 4. shimmer
Triple Fudge 5.- matte
Salted Caramel 6.- matte
Marzipan 7.- shimmer
Semi-Sweet 8.- matte
Strawberry Bon Bon 9.-matte
Candied Violet 10.- shimmer
Amaretto 11. -shimmer
Hazelnut 12.-shimmer
Creme brûlée 13.- shimmer
Haute Chocolate 14.-shimmer
Cherry Cordial 15.-shimmer
Champagne Truffle 16. -shimmer

The eyeshadows are made from 100% natural cocoa powder, so they have a very soft silky feel and you can smell the cocoa in them. They go on not extremely easy but easy enough to brush on the right amount over the eyelid. I use White Chocolate as a primer base and champagne truffle as a full lid cover over it. Marzipan is rose gold while creme brûlée is gold. The combination of those all together creates an amazing transition, from a light pink to a rose gold.

Overall i give this product a 4.75/5. positively it feels velvety, smells beautiful, the packaging is great, most of the colours are pigmented well and don't feel cheap. one thing i would like is if marzipan, creme brûlée and champagne truffle were more shimmery and brighter, but not extremely sparkly. i noticed the difference between those shades and the matte was not great, so i recommend adding extra pigment that may have sparkle that would be a similar colour match on top.

Won't be doing another review for a few weeks. hope you like :)

REVIEW - MAYBELLINE FIT ME CONCEALER

I haven't done a post in a while because i have been busy studying for exams and have been super busy. but i just wanted to fit this one in because i have been meaning to do this one for a while.

So as you can see, i bought the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, and this is in the colour Sand Sable 20, (which has a light yellow undertone) and it is a little to light for my skin, but, i think it is good for contouring and in the winter.

the texture i found was very runny and a little bit messy and it has a fluffy spongey brush at the end, so i will dot it not the areas i need it on rather than smearing it all over. if i wanted to smear it, i would put a bit onto the back of my hand and then use another brush to move it around.

i find on my skin( which is dry) that, it dries up a little and even a bit flaky, so i have to put my Stay Matte powder onto to keep it from falling off my foundation. ill be doing a review on my latest foundation from Mac, after exams.

it can still look a little dewy on skin, depending what skin type i guess. so make sure you find your exact undertone with this range as i have a lighter one and it is obvious it is too light, especially when i put it under my eyes and i look like a panda with white under eyes and normal colour face haha.

so if i was to rate this concealer, i would give it a 6.5/10, its okay for a drugstore concealer but, i have used better. i recommend getting the same brand or line of your foundation in a concealer. so my foundation is in the Studio Sculpt range, so i would probably get the Studio Sculpt concealer.

This was a quick review that i wanted to fit in, so not many pictures sorry.
hope you like it and comment or ask any questions you'd like answered, thanx :))

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation Review

NARS SHEER GLOW

hey guys, though i might do a review on NARS sheer glow as it is a popular selling foundation at the moment and i bought some recently.

                                                     Punjab and Barcelona(with the pump)

rating: 4.5/5
  • Punjab- medium 1= Mac nc 30/35 -  medium golden peachy undertones(peachy olive tinge)
  • Barcelona-medium 4= Mac nc 40/42 - medium golden peachy undertones(more brownish olive tinge)
  • SAMPLE of Stromboli- medium 3 = Mac nc 35/37 - medium with olive undertone
Well i bought 2 shades of the foundation as i have been looking at the NARS sheer glow quite alot on the NARS website and i got some samples of a few colours from Mecca Maxima to test before buying just to make sure the shades we right.
TONES
I bought Barcelona for the hot weather today and Punjab for the colder less sunny weather mid last year (aus) and they both have the same undertone colours except one is a darker version of the other. I tried a sample of the Stromboli and i found it was too yellow and not brown/peachy enough. the sample came in this little container which lasted about 3 wears for full coverage. right now it has some Barcelona sample that i got last week.

ON SKIN
I find the foundation doesn’t make me break out too much and it feels light on and soft. sheer glow is made to give a more natural look while it enhances your complexion and it definitely does. even if you get a shade a bit darker or lighter than your complexion it still manages to blend in nicely as it isn’t as thick. also you don’t need like a whole big blob to cover, as i found it spreads and evens out well.
Once you apply it, it takes a few minutes to set in and it conceals under eyes and around pretty well, though i do recommend getting the primer or concealer if you really want full coverage. i don’t use the primer or concealer because my skin is sensitive and breakouts when i use primer. my skin is dry but oily in the t-zone area. if you don't want it to look like a heavy coverage or more natural, don't use the primer.
DOWNSIDES
The downsides, you have to buy the pump separate and without it its kinda hard to get the right amount you want. the pump squirts out about the size of a small pea which is the right amount. on dry skin it may not sink in as well as it would on oily or non oily.
if you'd like to comment or rate or ask any questions, go ahead :))

Sinful Colours, Professional - Easy Going no. 300
hey guys this is my first post so hope you like :)
i found this nail polish a couple of months ago at chemist warehouse as i wanted a ind of creamy colour, but not entirely white.

so its a kind of skin colour which looks cream but still has a pinky tinge. i was eating marshmallows and it happened to blend with the colours while i had them in my hand at the time so i though why not take a pic. great colour for summer for any occasion.
